Mohammed Kudus is now eligible to play for West Ham United after completing a five-game suspension. He will be available for their important match against Leicester City.
The midfielder for Ghana’s national team, known as the Black Stars, was sent off on October 19 during a match against Tottenham. The red card came after Kudus slapped and pushed two opposing players. Initially, he was handed a three-game ban, but this was later increased to five games. Additionally, the English Football Association fined him £60,000.
During his suspension, Kudus missed five key matches against Manchester United, Everton, Newcastle, Arsenal, and Nottingham Forest. His absence had a noticeable impact on West Ham’s performance, as the team managed to win only one of those five games, a victory against Newcastle.
Now that Kudus is back, his return is expected to boost West Ham’s chances, especially as they head into a challenging December schedule. The team’s manager, Julen Lopetegui, is under pressure to improve results, and having Kudus back could help turn things around.
Before his suspension, Kudus had already scored two goals in eight appearances this season, showing promise as a valuable player for the team.
