University Of Cape Coast has been ranked 4th in Africa by THE
The Times Higher Education (THE), Thursday, September 2nd 2021 released a list of top most Universities in the world. A University can be included in the ranking if it is able to publish 1000 papers in reputable publication for a period of 5 years. Universities are also excluded if they only dwell on a single subject field.
This makes this year's rankings quite interesting and historic. This year ,a total of 1662 universities made it to the top most rankings with Ucc making a historic new entry to the top most ranked universities in the world. According to THE, UCC is ranked first in Ghana, 4th in Africa and the best research impartation on citation (research influence) in Africa
